INFRACO JOINS THE SEQUANA GROUP IN GROWTH PARTNERSHIP

Australian water and infrastructure consultancy Sequana has acquired INFRACO, a UK utilities and infrastructure consultancy. It is Sequana’s first acquisition outside Australia and takes the group to more than 300 staff across Australia, New Zealand and the UK. The INFRACO team has significant experience on major infrastructure programmes including Thames Tideway, Lower Thames Crossing, HS2 and East West Rail.

Sequana, backed by Pemba Capital Partners, entered the UK in 2025. The acquisition gives it an established UK delivery team at the start of AMP8, the largest investment programme in the history of the water sector in England and Wales, with more than £104 billion in expenditure approved by regulator Ofwat for the 2025 – 2030 period.

Founded in 2020 and led by Managing Director Andy Findlater, INFRACO provides utilities management, project and programme management, commercial management and delivery assurance. Sequana brings global water security, desalination and major programme advisory experience from mega projects including the Victorian Desalination Project and the Pilbara Seawater Desalination Plant, together with deep engineering and best in class environmental capability.

Sequana founding CEO Frank Fisseler said: “Australia has spent twenty years solving water security problems under real pressure. The UK is now facing the same questions at the same scale. INFRACO gives us the UK relationships and delivery track record to put that experience to work immediately.”

INFRACO Managing Director Andy Findlater said: “For our clients nothing changes. Same people, same contacts, same standards. What changes is the depth behind us. Our team now has access to international water and infrastructure expertise that very few UK consultancies can offer.”

INFRACO will continue to operate under its own name as a Sequana company for at least 12 months. Client relationships, project teams and delivery arrangements are unchanged.

The acquisition establishes a stronger platform for Sequana’s continued growth in the UK. Together, Sequana and INFRACO are positioned to support the next generation of major water and infrastructure projects across the UK.
